After a great Sette Colli Trophy, next stop: Paris!
The final major preparation meet is now behind me. The 62nd Sette Colli Trophy – International Swimming Championships took place in Rome at the iconic Foro Italico pool from Friday to Sunday (26–28 June). As always, many of the world's best swimmers were on the starting blocks, making it incredibly motivating to race against them in all three butterfly events. I came away with one gold, one silver and one bronze medal, along with very encouraging times—especially in the two events I'm focusing on for the upcoming European Championships in Paris: the 50m and 100m butterfly.
Now I have just over five weeks of training ahead of me, including a two-week altitude training camp, with the goal of arriving in France in peak form. If you won't be able to join me in Paris from 10 to 16 August, you'll be able to follow the races live on RSI. I'll keep you updated!
