Short bio

Noè Ponti (Locarno, 1 June 2001) is a Swiss swimmer specialising in butterfly. Olympic bronze medallist in the 100m butterfly at Tokyo 2020, he holds the short course world record in the 50m butterfly (21.32) and the short course European record in the 100m butterfly (47.71), both set at the 2024 World Championships in Budapest, where he won three world titles. Raised at Nuoto Sport Locarno, he trains at the Tenero national sports centre with the Swiss Aquatics Training Base and competes for Schwimmclub Uster.
