From Locarno to Uster

In recent days, I made a decision that I have long pondered and which has inevitably brought about a deep emotional involvement: starting from the upcoming 2024/25 season, I will no longer compete for Nuoto Sport Locarno. Leaving the team where I grew up and have been swimming since I was 6 years old is a choice driven mainly by sporting opportunities and motivation.
As I embark on a new Olympic cycle towards Los Angeles 2028, I believe it is important to seek new challenges and collaborations that can help me work with renewed energy. For these reasons, I have decided to join SchwimmClub Uster, where some of my friends from the Swiss national team swim. I want to assure everyone that I will continue to train at the “Centro Sportivo Tenero” with the Swiss Aquatics Training Base group, under the guidance of Massimo Meloni and Andrea Mercuri, supported by my trusted team.
I want to thank all the past and present committee members and coaches of NSL, who have accompanied me on this wonderful journey. It almost goes without saying that I will always remain emotionally connected to Nuoto Sport Locarno and its young swimmers, to whom I will stay close.
